the way some men say stuff like ‘if a female hit me i’m knocking her the fuck out, i don’t give a fuck, step up like a man get knocked down like a man’ it’s almost like they’re just waiting for the day it happens? some men say it with such intensity and absence of shame that they sound excited to get the opportunity to hit a woman with their full strength and that shit kinda scares me.

when straight guys ask how lesbian sex works i feel really bad for their girlfriends because if you dont understand how to have sex with a girl in any way other than repeatedly putting your dick in her you are having some really bad sex

I want to reblog this 100 times but I’ll just do it once

The worst thing about falling to pieces is that humans can do it so quietly. (via cap-tveit-me)

there’s this picture of a little girl(like six years old) on facebook and she’s wearing a cute little white lace top and jean shorts and brown knee boots and her hair is in a messy bun and she’s doing a peace sign and she has sunglasses on

and people are all ‘you shouldn’t let her wear clothes like that. they look like clothes for a teenager. she’s too young for those, you’re making her grow up too fast’

and it’s like, i’m sorry, but if you sexualize girls ages 15-25 (the style of the little girl’s clothes were similar to the style of that age group) to the point where if a little girl wears similar clothing, you think her parents are irresponsible and shouldn’t let her dress that way, you have serious problems.

-it’s sick to sexualize children, nothing they wear should make you think about sexualizing them

-clothes are just clothes

-if you sexualize girls ages 15-25 to the point where you can’t separate the body from the clothing, you’re sexualizing them too much

in conclusion: you’re creepy

We praise people for being “naturally” smart, too, “naturally” athletic, and etc. But studies continue to show, as they have for some time now, that it is generally healthier to praise schoolchildren for being hardworking, than for being naturally gifted. We know now that to emphasize a child’s inherent ability places pressure on that child to continue to be accidentally talented, which is something that is hard for anyone to control. When the children who are applauded for their natural skills fail, they are shown to take the failure very personally. After all, the process of their success has always seemed mysterious and basic and inseparable from the rest of their identity, so it must be they who are failing as whole people. When students are instead complimented and rewarded for their effort and improvement, they tend to not be so hard on themselves. When they fail, they reason, “Well, I’ll work harder next time.” They learn that they are capable of success, rather than constantly automatically deserving of it, and they learn simultaneously that they are bigger and more complex than their individual successes or failures.
